The inside of the drum is held, The rotary drum vacuum filter is used for a number of different applications such as the filtration of bulk or fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pigments, foods, bulk minerals, sludge dewatering, wastewater treatment, and biofuels.A vacuum filter is a filter in which the liquid passes through more easily because of a vacuum on the liquid output side. The slurry filtered rapidly through paper on a vacuum filter to yield a cake of polysaccharide and an amber filtrate. A vacuum filter in good mechanical condition will easily dewater a sludge.The working of rotary drum filter is divided into various zones such as pick-up zone, drainage zone, washing zone, drying zone, and cake removal zone. The drum is immersed to the required depth in the slurry, which is agitated with help of an agitator to prevent settling of the solids.Vacuum filtration is used primarily in microbiological and laboratory procedures involving the collection of a particulate (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension.They have a circular design and are usually made of foam, folded paper or other synthetic materials. Cartridge filters can be either replaceable or washable, so again, it's always important to check your specific vacuum model before replacing or washing.
