A single sided spot welder was made for situations like this. Designed for use with relatively thin sheet metal, the resistance weld is performed from one side only, with one electrode. Opposed to standard spot welding with an arm and electrode on either side of the two sheets, acting like a clamp.A spot welding machine involves a transformer for the power supply, welding electrodes, and other components that allow controlling the parameters in welding work (weld current, pressure, voltage, etc.). Spot welding machines are usually water-cooled because for a fraction of a second, very high heat is generated.Introduction of projection welding: Projections are little projected raised points that offer resistance during the passage of current and thus generating heat at those points. These projections collapse under heated conditions and pressure leading to the welding of two parts on cooling that is multi-spot welding.MIG and TIG welding both use an arc to create heat and weld metals together; however, the difference between the two is the way the arc is used. MIG uses a wire welding electrode that constantly moves through the welding machine on a spool to generate heat.Spot welding doesn't need any fillers or extra materials. Labor is affordable because spot welding can be done without any special skills. Spot welding is a faster process than regular welding, as it's automatic or semi-automatic.
