ER630 is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel filler metal used to weld similar high-strength alloys like 17-4 PH stainless steel, achieving high tensile strength and hardness. Its mechanical properties are significantly influenced by post-weld heat treatment, allowing for use in high-temperature and abrasion-resistant applications such as those in the aerospace and petrochemical industries. Material and Composition Type:Martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel. Purpose:Primarily for welding precipitation hardening stainless steels. Modification:Modified to prevent ferrite network formation, which would negatively affect mechanical properties. Key Characteristics High Strength:Offers excellent high strength and hardness.
