UL Listed Copper Bonded Steel Ground Rod offers a low-impedance ground in areas with significant earth resistance. The technique captures lightning energy and another damaging electrical fault current flow, even in rocky or sandy ground conditions when used with Reflow Grounding Minerals.Copper-bonded ground rods have a high carbon steel core that is suitable for deep driving. A layer of nickel and then a coating of copper is electroplated on the steel core to provide corrosion protection This coating is not subject to the risk of bending or cracking.A ground rod is usually located very close to your main electrical service panel and is often made of copper or copper coated steel. They're approximately one-half-inch in diameter and 8 to 10 feet in length. It must be electrically tied to your main service panel to provide an approved ground connection.
