Slat conveyors consist of endless chains, driven by electric motors operating through reduction gears and sprockets, with attached spaced slats to carry objects that would damage a belt because of sharp edges or heavy weights.Slat top chains are made of special reinforced high-strength plastics or stainless steel. They consist of plastic or metal links or plates that are connected to each other by pins or drive locks. The plates can be also mounted on a classic roller chain.Apron conveyors consist of endless chains with attached overlapping and interlocking plates to provide a continuous-carrying surface that forms a leakproof bed suitable for bulk materials without containers.
