General Information Type: Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) in-situ cast swimming pool Applications: Residential, Farmhouse, Hotel, Resort, Sports Complex Standards: IS 456:2000 (RCC Design) IS 3370 (Liquid Retaining Structures) ACI 318 (Concrete Structures) Design Life: 30–40 years (with proper waterproofing & maintenance) 2. Site Preparation & Excavation Excavation Depth: As per approved pool drawings (includes allowance for base slab, tiles, and finishes) Base Preparation: 150 mm sand layer well compacted OR 75–100 mm PCC (M10, 1:4:8) 3. RCC Structural Works Concrete Grade: M25 / M30 with waterproofing admixture Base Slab Thickness: 200–300 mm Wall Thickness: 150–200 mm Reinforcement: Steel grade: Fe500 TMT bars Bottom slab: Double mesh (10–12 mm @ 150–200 mm c/c) Walls: Vertical & horizontal bars (10–12 mm @ 150–200 mm c/c) Formwork: Smooth plywood/steel shuttering for good finish Coping Beam: Provided at top edge for stability 4. Waterproofing System Integral Waterproofing: Admixture in RCC (Fosroc, Sika, CICO, etc.) Joints: PVC water stops (150–230 mm wide) in slab & wall joints Surface Waterproofing: Cementitious waterproof slurry (2–3 coats) OR PU/Epoxy membrane for premium pools Leak Test: Fill with water & observe for 7–10 days 5. Plastering & Finishes Internal Plaster: 15–20 mm thick (1:4 cement-sand mix + waterproofing compound) Tile Finish: Glass mosaic tiles (20×20 mm, 4 mm thick) – premium option Anti-skid ceramic pool tiles – economical option Tile joints: Epoxy grout (water-resistant) Deck Finish: Non-slip tiles / stone / wooden deck / composite planks Minimum deck width: 1.2 m all around Slope: 1:60 away from pool 6. Plumbing & Circulation Material: UPVC/CPVC pressure pipes (Class III / Sch 40) Fittings: Main drain with anti-vortex cover Skimmer(s) Inlets & suction line Overflow channel (optional) Vacuum point (for cleaning) Filtration Plant: Sand filter (standard) / Cartridge filter (small pools) / DE filter (premium) Recirculation rate: 4–6 hours turnover
