Packaging Automation is the process of packaging products without the need for manual human intervention. Over the years, automated packaging systems have transitioned from singular machines that automate one step in the packaging process to now integrating all steps seamlessly into the entire packaging process.Otherwise known as pouch filling or pouch packing machines, this packaging equipment type fills premade pouches with product and then seals them shut. Pouch fill and seal machines come in two main varieties: Rotary and inline.Those two machines are synced electronically, so that as soon as the bag is ready, the product is dropped in automatically. Once the product has dropped into the bag, the top is sealed. The sealing jaws press the 2 parts of the overlapping material and weld them, often with heating, to create a side or centre seal.
