Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), also popularly known as autoclaved cellular concrete (ACC) is a lightweight, foam concrete building material. AAC products include blocks, wall panels, floor, roof panels and many more.Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is made with fine aggregates, cement, and an expansion agent that causes the fresh mixture to rise like bread dough.It helps to maintain accuracy, uniformity and enhances the strength of the building. It provides better thermal insulation and protects from water. It increases the speed of construction and reduces the overall cost.The key ingredient to manufacture AAC blocks is fly ash or pond ash. Fly ash is mixed with water to form fly ash slurry. Slurry thus formed is mixed with other ingredients like lime powder, cement, gypsum and aluminium powder in quantities consistent with the recipe.
