Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is made with fine aggregates, cement, and an expansion agent that causes the fresh mixture to rise like bread dough. In fact, this type of concrete contains 80 percent air. In the factory where it is made, the material is molded and cut into precisely dimensioned units.Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), also popularly known as autoclaved cellular concrete (ACC) is a lightweight, foam concrete building material. AAC products include blocks, wall panels, floor, roof panels and many more.The key ingredient to manufacture AAC blocks is fly ash or pond ash. Fly ash is mixed with water to form fly ash slurry. Slurry thus formed is mixed with other ingredients like lime powder, cement, gypsum and aluminium powder in quantities consistent with the recipe.AAC helps encourage verbal communication for children or adults who may be functioning at a pre-symbolic level. Those are individuals who communicate with gestures, eye gaze, or using strategies other than word production. If language can be developed using an AAC system, their quality of life can be vastly enhanced.
