Product Details
The Pneumatic Gravity Separator (or simply Gravity Separator), engineered to divide the grain stream into distinct density fractions.
- Product Input and Distribution: The product is fed from a distributing box and descends onto the top separation frames.
- Stratification Mechanism: Separation relies on two simultaneous actions:
1. Motorized Vibration: Agitates the material, encouraging particles to move based on density.
2. Bottom-Up Air Current: Provides a fluidizing cushion of air that works against gravity.
- Density Separation: The combined vibration and air current ensures product stratification (layering by density):
1. The heaviest material (rocks and heavy wheat kernels) sinks, remaining in contact with the sieve surface.
2. The lightest parts (light impurities) are fluidized, causing them to fluctuate on the surface and be dumped separately.
- Sieve Stage 1 (Top Frame Action): The heavy wheat and rocks, due to gravity and lack of fluidization, fall through the openings to the bottom sieve.
- Sieve Stage 2 (Final Discharge): When the product reaches the second sieve, the PGS unloads the heaviest components (rocks and heavy wheat) from the back, while the standard/clean product passes down and is collected via the front hoppers.
