Decorticators are also known as shell removers or skin separators. Groundnut Decorticators are an integral part of the oil mill plant and they are specially made to crack the outer shell of the groundnuts (peanuts). Manually shelling a large number of these nuts is a laborious task and consumes a lot of time.A peanut decorticating machine, also called a groundnut decorticator, is a specialized piece of equipment designed to remove the hard outer shell of peanuts, separating the kernels from the husk, allowing for efficient processing of peanuts for further use in food production or oil extraction, while minimizing damage to the kernels themselves; it typically operates by feeding peanuts into a chamber where they are crushed between rotating abrasive surfaces, with a fan system to separate the shells from the kernels based on their size and weight.
