Hydro Test Pump Motor Driven Unit. The term "Hydro Test Pump" refers to a technique for high-pressure testing of tubes, pipelines, and cylinders, as well as hydro testing of pressure valves and boilers.These hydrostatic test pumps also known as hydrostatic line tester ensure that the pipes used for transferring water and other fluids or gases are safe to use. They will detect a leak no mater how small it may be. They are also used on newly installed pipes to make sure that they are safe and connected well.Hydrostatic pressure tests of equipment having components of Type 300 series stainless steel should be conducted with potable water or steam condensate having a chloride concentration of less than 50 ppm. After the test, the vessel should be completely drained and dried.It ensures that the weld joints and flanges are fitted properly, and confirms that the material used has the required strength to sustain the pressure.The basic principle of operation of centrifugal pumps is – force vortex flow. This means, when a body of liquid is acted upon by an external torque, it increases the pressure head of the rotating liquid. This increase in pressure is directly proportional to the velocity of the liquid.
