Hydrostatic pressure test is also a common testing procedure to verify pressure vessels do not leak or have manufacturing flaws.Pressure Test Pumps are used to verify the integrity of pipework and pipe joints of all types of installations such as heating, compressed air and refrigeration systems, oil installations, fire lines and small bore pipelines.Pressure tests are performed to ensure the safety, reliability, and leak tightness of pressure systems. A pressure test is required for a new pressure system before use or an existing pressure system after repair or alteration. There are two methods for pressure tests: hydrostatic and pneumatic.A Proof-Pressure Test verifies if a component can withstand pressure above its intended operating pressure without permanent damage. It is a form of stress test to demon- strate the fitness of an Expansion Joint under the test pres- sure conditions.
