Feed Mixer
A feed mixer is a mechanical device used to mix different feed ingredients to create a homogeneous mixture for livestock. By providing equal nutrition levels across different rations, feed mixers improve animal health and feed utilisation on cattle, poultry, and aquaculture farms. The mixers themselves have shafts (either horizontal or vertical) that are equipped with paddles, blades or augers which pass through the feed to combine the ingredients (control ingredients) such as grains, oilseeds, vitamins and additives. Depending on the ways in which they are made, feed mixers can be classified either as manual, semi-automatic and fully automated feed mixers with capacities that range between 50 kg and over 10 tonnes of feed per hour.
