Description
Straight side press in which the uprights or housing are straight, thus enclosing the slides of the die space. (b) Overhanging or gap frame presses in which the uprights or housings (parts of frame) are arched back leaving the top of the bed and die space clear for easy access for feeding.Double crank type press has two shafts which enable bigger working area for big sheet parts stamping or progressive die stamping. Crankshaft material is forged 42CrMo. After machining by CNC lathe, the crankshaft will be rolling treatment to improve the hardness and surface finish.Flywheel presses are designed with dynamic balancing of the upper die and press slide (ram) weight using an opposing force. Without this opposing force, the press would walk around the floor at high speeds. Figure 2. This is the most popular press drive used by contract stampers in the automotive industry.
