DF03 Modular Aluminium Door Frame Chowkhat is a sleek, strong, and versatile independent aluminium door frame designed to carry the load of the door without depending on the surrounding partition wall. It is suitable for glass partitions, gypsum board partitions, modular partition walls, wooden partitions, commercial interiors, and masonry walls.  Manufactured from 6063 T6 aluminium alloy, DF03 is engineered as a modular chowkhat-style door frame with a 50 mm base depth and an 11 mm rebate. Its modular extension system allows the jamb depth to be increased in 26 mm increments, making it suitable for a wide range of wall thicknesses—from slim partitions to full brick masonry walls. The base door frame depth can be extended from 50 mm to 76 mm, 102 mm, 128 mm, 154 mm, 180 mm, 206 mm, 232 mm, 258 mm, and beyond as required. This makes DF03 a practical aluminium door frame solution for projects where wall thickness varies across office cabins, meeting rooms, washroom entrances, corridors, residential interiors, hospitals, and commercial buildings. DF03 features double omega EPDM door seals that help improve sound insulation, reduce air gaps, and support better acoustic performance around the door perimeter. The door frame can accommodate 38 mm to 45 mm thick wooden doors and aluminium stile doors. The system supports flush butterfly hinges, concealed hinges, concealed door closers, and surface-mounted door closers. Different finish and colour combinations can be used for the main frame and extension profiles, allowing architects and designers to create distinctive door-frame details. DF03 is GreenPro Ecolabel Type 1 certified and designed and made in India. Custom door-frame dimensions, wall-depth extensions, finish options, and project-specific hardware integration are available.
