These hydrostatic test pumps also known as hydrostatic line tester ensure that the pipes used for transferring water and other fluids or gases are safe to use. They will detect a leak no mater how small it may be. They are also used on newly installed pipes to make sure that they are safe and connected well. Hydrostatic testing (also referred to as hydro testing) is a type of test that fills a pressure vessel or pipe system with fluid to a specified PSI to ensure it can safely hold the amount of pressure it is rated for and maintain structural integrity.Hydrostatic tests are conducted by filling an object with water and pressurizing it to test for strength and leaks. The ability to detect leaks in an object is one of the most important reasons why this type of testing should be performed regularly.Common applications include conveyors, log cranes, mobile equipment, centrifuges, chemi-washers and planers. Hydrostatic drives are some of the least understood systems because many of the components are located on or inside the hydrostatic pump assembly.
