A hydrostatic test pump is designed to test the pressure in a water or gas line up to 12,000 PSI to ensure the lines are safe from leaks.These hydrostatic test pumps also known as hydrostatic line tester ensure that the pipes used for transferring water and other fluids or gases are safe to use. They will detect a leak no mater how small it may be. They are also used on newly installed pipes to make sure that they are safe and connected well.Hydro testing, more formally called hydrostatic testing, is a type of test that is performed on pressure vessels to check for leaks. Hydro testing involves completely filling up a pressure vessel with water and then pressurizing it. Once pressurized, leaks can be detected.In a hydrostatic sludge removal system, the surface of the water in the clarifier is higher than the surface of the water in the sludge well or hopper. This difference in pressure head forces sludge from the bottom of the clarifier to flow through pipes to the sludge well or hopper.
