A pop-up or metering valve on the pressure vessel is opened to release pressurized fluid and blast media into a blast hose.Pressure blast cabinets use a pressure vessel to pneumatically push the blast media through a single abrasive hose and out the blast nozzle. An easy way to understand is the pressure blast systems drop the abrasive into an air hose and pneumatically push the abrasive out through an air jet.A blasting machine or shot exploder is a portable source of electric current to reliably fire a blasting cap to trigger a main explosive charge. It is mostly used in mining and demolition.A pressure blast cabinet uses a pressurized vessel (like a pressure pot) filled with blast media, which is then forced through a blast nozzle. Pressure blasting is significantly faster and more aggressive than suction blasting.
