The mixed bed resins ensure the production of highly pure demineralized water.Regeneration: Over time, the ion exchange resins become exhausted and lose their ability to exchange ions effectively. Regeneration is necessary to restore their ion exchange capacity. Regeneration involves passing a concentrated solution of salt or acid through the resin bed to replace the captured ions with a high concentration of sodium or hydrogen ions, depending on the resin type.
