Elliptical Cross Trainer
An elliptical trainer or cross-trainer (also called an X-trainer) is a stationary exercise machine used to stair climb, walk, or run without causing excessive pressure to the joints, hence decreasing the risk of impact injuries
The distinguishing feature of a cross trainer is that it provides an upper-body workout in addition to the lower-body workout of any elliptical machine. Regular elliptical machines have static bars that you can hold while you work your legs. But the cross trainer has moving bars that involve your arms in the workout.
The elliptical machine allows you to get a good aerobic workout, which can strengthen your heart, lungs, and muscles. This, in turn, can help build your stamina and endurance. With an elliptical, you can perform both high-intensity interval training as well as steady-state cardio workouts.
